Three Elements
Vortex graces the Residences at Hidden Creek in Gaithersburg, Maryland, embodying the dynamic and sustainable energy of wind power. Inspired by the widespread adoption of wind turbines across the United States, which Rubenstein observed during a cross-country journey, Vortex captures the essence of renewable energy in motion. The sculpture's fluid, spiraling form mirrors the graceful and powerful rotations of wind turbines, symbolizing both the physical wind currents and the transformative potential of clean energy technologies. Situated within a residential setting, it serves as a daily reminder of the community's commitment to sustainability and the global movement towards renewable energy sources.
